World premiere and rehearsal of the new porsche macan

Porsche has been offering the Macan since 2014, making the SUV the youngest model in the Porsche family. But now the facelift is coming, which brings the Porsche Macan back in line with the latest design language from Zuffenhausen, as well as bringing a few new features to Porsche’s smallest SUV.

Current Porsche Design DNA now also in the Macan

It can be seen directly from behind, even if the prototypes were able to hide it for a long time. The continuous LED light strip now adorns the Macan as well, following the Panamera and Cayenne. The Macan retains the three-dimensional lights and only inserts the light strip into them. The clear difference to the Cayenne remains. Apart from that, the apron has also been changed a bit.

The same applies to the front, which is now directly geared towards attack. This is not due to the newly designed air inlets, but the “Predator-Like” lights. The new standard LED headlights have the familiar 4-point LED daytime running lights. However, it is slightly bent and pulled backwards, giving it an aggressive touch. The 4-point lights are also picked up at the rear by the brake lights. Adaptive PDLS headlights are optionally available.

Macan facelift with new rims, new chassis and new colors

Just like the new 20 or 21 inch rims. There are also the new colors Miami blue, Mamba green metallic as well as dolomite silver metallic and chalk. Not to be seen, but the chassis has also been changed. With the same (old) platform as before, Porsche promises more neutral and more stable driving behavior with improved comfort. The mixed tires remain unaffected for driving pleasure and performance.

Revised center console with 11 inch touchscreen

In addition to the clear external changes, the interior has also changed a little. A new, eleven-inch touchscreen sits enthroned in the middle, which, like the “Always On” connection, is standard. The PCM with intelligent voice control and standard online navigation comes with the tiles directly from the Panamera and Cayenne. It is also connected to the Here Cloud for traffic data.

As a driver, you are sitting as comfortably and devoutly as before. But the differently positioned air nozzles now illuminate you a little deeper. However, you can also use the GT steering wheel known from the 911 and now adjust the modes directly on the steering wheel. New extras are the ionization, the traffic jam assistant and the heated windscreen.

Gasoline engines with gasoline particle filters

The engines offered are the 2.0-liter 4-cylinder from the group, all compliant with the Euro 6d-temp emissions standard, as well as the 3.0-liter V6 mono-turbo and the 2.9-liter V6 biturbo. The exact performance levels have not yet been announced. More about this in our exclusive video.
